Vintage, old junk, and neutral tones are becoming more of my style every day! Preparing for Christmas decor can be one of the more stressful times of the year, especially if you are trying to deck the halls outside of what you’re comfortable with. I have decided to focus more on what makes the home feel cozy and welcoming inside of trying to impress with over the top wow factor. I have always loved the little bottle brush trees and I decided why not use them to display this year. Then came my next question, what am going to do with them, well I was over at my business shop when I saw about 3 crates of old and dusty mason jars. Well, that is when I thought those would be perfect to put my bottle brush trees in with some snow. 

When I got home from the shop I decided to put them together, once they were together I had to figure out where I was going to put them. I know I know this should have been easy to figure out but it wasn’t. Then I realized that my open shelving really needed to be changed and styled ( I have struggled with this area for a while) adding this touch helped create the foundation to show me that the basic simple with pops of wood was my go-to style. Many people feel that they need to over style an area because it’s been said more is better but I’m here to help others and say that the whites and creams, the basic and simple are just as right as the overdoing decor. I was struggling for a little on what my style was and now that I have found it, my home has been changing and it’s because it is more me instead of the typical farmhouse. Stick with your style and own it.
