I am so excited to share this post with you because it is the very first blog post and I am so excited about this bedroom! First off I want to say thank you to all of my followers for the support and love. Second I want to share how I created this simple Christmas look in our bedroom, to show that you can keep your Christmas decor simple and natural but still cozy. This room about two weeks ago had blue grey walls and I was not a fan of them after I finished painting well, before I started my Christmas decorating I decided I wanted to go to my go to white and have the pops of wood tons to add that color dimension in the rooms. I am so glad that I did because I love it now!
How I created the simple Christmas decor in the master bedroom was by taking fresh winter greens from the pine trees in the woods behind our house. Which I put on the nightstands and dresser.
I replaced the architectural piece above the bed with this adorable bed and breakfast sign from a local small shop. I wanted to add in a good piece about the bed that could transition into the winter months. Then of course the planter that is on the nightstand, that one is a good story! I use to hate this planter when I was a kid, my mom had four of them and every time I was playing outside, I would run into them and they are solid concrete. I would get so mad, well eventually my mom and dad put them in their field and that is where they have been for many years. The other day I wanted something that was different than your usual planter, well I went to the field and dug this up. I gave it a quick swipe of black paint and her she is with fresh greens in tow. I love the texture it adds to the room.
Being festive for the holidays doesn’t mean you have to spend a ton of money or be complicated. Winter greens, chunky blankets, and a few small trees is all you need. I hope this shows everyone how being simple is perfectly okay when it comes to the holidays. Thank you VERY much stopping by the blog and seeing what we have been up to creating this!
