Spring is just around the corner and it is time to kick out those winter blues! I have teamed up with 12 amazing ladies to bring to you Spring Home Tours! We are so excited to take you along our homes to help inspire you to style your home for the spring. I will be taking you on a tour of my early spring styled home and sharing how I make these spaces spring cozy!
One of my favorite spots in my home is the entry way because this is where everyone sees the first look at your home. This is one spot that I want to make cozy but have the spring vibes. This early spring refresh, I wanted to the entry way with lightweight throws, baskets, some faux fig stems, and hunter rain boots. When I think of Spring, I think of how April showers bring May flowers. When my guests walk in I want them to think spring cozy, with all the space to put their things down and relax.
From the entry way to the dining room, wood and white tones with pops of fresh greenery is what I feel brings those spring vibes! One of my favorite finds from these past couple months is this Country Fresh Eggs For Sale sign. I love the chippy and vintage feeling it gives this space when you layer it with a basket full of greenery. When styling for spring you do not always have to use real greenery, you can do a mixture of faux and real. This is something that I tend to do in my home because, sometimes you may want some greenery high up on a shelf. Depending on how tall you are those high shelf greenery pieces may be hard to water and that is where I tend to use more faux than real. When styling at the beginning a season I normally slowly bring in that season especially when it is such a jump from winter to spring. I tend to start off with just natural greenery and some pops of the season here and there. For example, I kept this little vignette simple with a book, wood tones, vintage pieces, greenery, and a pop of spring with the terra-cotta pots.
Although sometimes a kitchen is a spot that you never think about styling but, I have to say having open shelving makes this space just as fun to style for the seasons. When I begin to style the kitchen, I think about what I can layer with the is kitchen related and some vintage pieces too. Vintage dishes is my first go to when it comes to layering the open shelving. Adding in vintage dishes is a way to add texture and dimension. One of my favorite things to bring into the kitchen for the spring is fresh greens. I love the simple and easy houseplants because, they take little maintenance. Once I have my vintage dishes and greenery in place, this is when I bring in wood tones and little nicknacks. One way to bring in wood tones is using vintage cutting boards or a sugar mold. They are great layering pieces with any nicknacks.
Through the kitchen is the laundry room and this room has had a recent DIY that I love! I added this peg rack in and it has been so fun to style with spring touches. The laundry room is a place that I like to hang and store the everyday items that I grab on the way out of the house. When you have a small space sometimes just adding in a few simple pieces will make the area pop! I added in this basket with simple greens, a vintage dust pan and broom, and the final piece a jacket for those cooler mornings. On the order side a did a houseplant and a faux orange tree to add a pop of color.
Finally, my last rooms I style are the bedrooms and the office because I love to keep these very simple and cozy! In these rooms I just add textured pillows, cozy throws, and simple spring greens. These are the spaces that I want to be the most relaxed in because they are where I go to have quiet time.
The first day of spring is coming so fast and I think we are spring ready!
