We are feeling springy around here friends! This week we have had warmer weather which has brought out the early spring styling. This time of year can be tricky when it comes to the “how to style”. By this time I am ready to kick the winter blues and bring in the cozy fresh spring feels! This change can be easy and simple with these few tips I follow and I am here to share friends!
This year I decided to start with the space that the sunshine always beams into. The dining space space is the start to early spring styling around here! These are my 4 favorite tips for styling your dining spaces.
Tip 1: Light weight linens
Light weight linens are the key in early spring styling because they help set the backdrop for spaces that you are going to layer. These linens you want to be very light color with minimal detail. The detail can be a simple design or even a simple pop of color. Linens can be used behind baskets, wood pieces, or even just to fill a space.
Tip 2: Use Every Day Items
I start filling spaces with the items that I use often or ones that fit into the the space I am styling. This will include plates, bowls, cutting boards, or even pitchers. Make these spaces useful and have purpose! Just like this cake stand that is filled with baked goodies!
Tip 3: Use baskets and greenery to fill
After placing the items you use into the spaces, you will see the empty spaces. This will be where you use the baskets and spring greenery to fill those holes. Using all different types and sizes of basket will help create dimension to the space. Along with texture for those early spring greens to lay against.
Tip 4: Add the Pretty
After you have filled the empty holes, add the pretty! What does this mean? This means grab any art work, cutting boards, or signs you may need to bring that spring feel out! I just added in a vintage scale, layered some cutting boards, and little pops of artwork!
Now your early spring styling is complete friends! I hope that this really helps you during the wonky time between seasons in making your home cozy! For other looks of early spring styling head over to our Instagram, Pinterest, or even here on the blog! Thank you as always for stopping by!
