The kitchen and dining room area can be one of those spaces with all the odd corners. This area in our home is open and I love to style the corners and nooks with the cozy kitchen decor. This little nook that I found for twenty dollars at a flea market has been the perfect corner addition.
This breakfast nook has all of the layering and texture that I love adding to any area. I took some of the vintage goodies I had around the house and added in a new Rae Dunn cappuccino mug with some vintage dishes to add dimensions. I have been loving the white against wood tones. In this area, the antique cutting boards and the rolling pin against the white wall and dresser added that pop of tone I was looking for. The antique clear canister with the sugar brings me back to the days I use to spend with my grandparents.
Adding vintage goodies into our home, I do enjoy finding pieces that I grew up seeing in my grandparent’s house. I always find joy in seeing a piece from my childhood each day. I get the question many times a week, how do you decide what to put where? start to style an area, I pull many things out of all of my storage closets. The truth is, I pull almost everything out to even start deciding on what I will use.
Playing around with the area you are trying to style is the best way to figure out the look. I hope that sharing how I choose what I put in an area and how I arrange it will help. Thank you for coming by the blog today and as , always XO XO.
