What a great feeling it is to be back sharing with you all. Since I have been away, I am going to share a spring home tour with you. We have been getting ready for the upcoming markets. Through all of the painting and sanding, I did manage to get our home in the spring vibe.
This year I wanted to so more of a simple clean look for the spring. Our home is full of wood tones, fresh houseplants, and adorable little bunnies. There are some fresh greenery and some faux throughout the house. I did want to add in some moss to pull in the natural greenery of spring.
My love for houseplants, of course, has spilled into the kitchen. I did keep it a simple clean style in the kitchen. Styling a kitchen for spring can be tricky when you have to decide what to layer your shelves with. There is never too many houseplants, right? The spring I am going to keep the plants just greenery, but for summer I am thinking of something fun to do.
I am sure that you can spot one of my favorite plants in the sink too. I love having a fresh rosemary topiary in the house. The wall that is outside of the kitchen but in the dining room is one that I have been playing around with. I chose this time to take a different approach this time. Normally do something kitchen related but I wanted to do a cozy spring vibe here. I added in some botanical prints without frames to have a dainty look. Then when it came to the shelves I took what I have been learning lately about linens and how they are great for layering and used that here.
Before I would have never thought about adding in simple linens to this space but I love how they layer and how they create a simple look. All there was to do after adding these in was to add that spring greenery.
Last but not least is the bedroom, here I wanted to do a place that as soon as you walked into the room you felt relaxed. I took some of my favorite houseplants mixed with faux to create a mantle of houseplants. I did add a pop of wood tones with the basket pot and the shoe forms that I picked up when we were in Waco. Every time I wake up or walk in here this mantle gives me the relaxation and cozy feel of spring. I hope that this will inspire you to spread the spring throughout your home. Thank you for stopping by the blog today, XOXO.
