Rugs, Rugs, and more rugs! Cottage Farmhouse rugs are one of my favorite things to collect. Is that really a thing? In our home, Michael will say it totally is. Either way, I have found some of the best rugs that will work for winter and well just anytime in your home.
There is no secret where I love to shop for rugs and that would be Boutique Rugs. They have all styles from Farmhouse rugs to contemporary styles, oh and wait washable ones! I have put together a round of rugs that can be considered ones that you can use now with chunky knit textures for winter, along with ones that are lightweight and perfect for those seasons to come.
Let’s dive into which rugs I choose for each season that can also work for any time of the year if you want them too. If you love any of these friends, my code: ITTYBITTY is still active with Boutique Rugs for a special discount on top of any sale prices.
Winter:
Chunky knit rugs are my favorite to use during this season. Although I will pair those with light tones with hints of greens to start transitioning into the Spring Season.
Spring/ Summer:
Rain and all of the outdoor activities make this time of the year perfect to use washable rugs with brighter tones. Bright tones will be different for everyone and remember that is okay! You could also use lightweight jute rugs during this time too.
Fall:
Oh my, this is the time to pull all of those mustard and rust tones out with your rugs. Many of you know I do not place a ton of color in our home but, this is one of my favorite ways to add just that small pop of color into our home!
There is not ONE correct way to pick a rug for a space just for a season. You always want to pick pieces to style the home that brings you joy and make your home a happy place for you. This means your style and creative vibes are the correct ones for you.
Many of you have asked for a roundup on how to pick out rugs for your home. We love our rugs here at Itty Bitty Farmhouse and we hope this helps you pick the perfect rugs for your home.
