Do you need a new layer piece for a gallery wall or even just for a piece in your dining. I have been in the market a new layering piece and a huge thank you to Worx MakerX ‘s rotary tool  that helped me create is amazing sign. Worx MakerX is one of the most useful tools I have been able to work with. They have create a tool that has more than one function and so simple to use. I have no doubt that you can create many fun projects with this tool kit and have no questions on how to use it because it honestly is that simple. The season is here to add layers to your home and why not use a tool that makes your life much simpler by all of it’s in one function to create a decor piece that you can use throughout your home.

This process was so easy with this tool and it’s attachment. Not to mention that the rotary tool is extremely easy to use. These tools are interchangeable and make great to create projects that require the little fine details. Farmhouse signs are decor pieces that we see throughout many stores and online but are not always the most affordable. I wanted to create a sign that was easy for everyone to make that did not cost a fortune. Using the little small detail attachments from Worx has been amazing when trying to get into the corners to smooth down wood on a farmhouse sign. Sometimes those corners make us just want to scream and walk away. Not with the Rotary Tool Kit from Worx, this part of the project was a breeze! Oh did I mention that it is even wireless and rechargeable? This tool sure is and that makes for an easy work space. Now let’s grab our tools and get started on this easy fun layering piece for your home!

Products Need:

1- 24X24in piece of plywood
1- 8ft 1×2 pine board
2- 8ft 1×4 white trim molding
Nail Gun
Worx MakerX Rotary Tool Kit

Step 1:

Cut the 8ft 1×2 Pine board into (4) 24inch pieces.

Step 2:

Use your nail gun to attach the boards to make the frame to the plywood board.

Step 3:

You will measure the inside of your frame and cut the 1×4 pine boards (6 pieces). Mine interior length was 22inches. Just depending on your board your length may be different.

Step 4:

Once you have the boards cut you will want to smooth your edges off because if not they will not fit snuggle. This is where you will use your Worx MakerX Rotary tool kit with the dremel tool. This is a wireless tool and it works at different speeds to create the smooth edge. I used a low speed (as seen in the picture) to smooth the edges so the boards would line up.

Step 5:

Place the boards inside of the frame and attach them to the plywood board with the nail gun. They should be snug since you smoothed the edges down with your tool.

Step 6:

Style your piece in your home!

This project was made so simple with my rotary tool. There are many attachments to this tool that the use for it is endless. I love the wireless feature of it and how it is easy to use without any trouble on smaller projects.
