FALL….. that word is what I have been waiting to hear all year long! I am so excited to share with you a cozy early fall cottage style throughout our home. When do you start styling for fall? As a home blogger I start probably a little sooner than the someone would like to for fall. By doing this I hope to inspire others for the season. This Season, I am stepping out of my own comfort zone and trying some new ways this year. I started this year sitting on the couch thinking; what does fall look like, smell, like and what do I love the most about fall?
While sitting there I finally took the leap and brought the burnt orange into our home for the fall season. As you all know I love just the simple and neutral tones for the cozy style but; why not throw in something fun once and and awhile right? Well, what is a better time other than fall. I wanted to make sure that I created that cozy fall feeling through the home by adding in those warm tones to be the visual to the smell that has filled the home.
In the master bedroom; I chose to add in the warmth with the burnt orange but kept the mantle the simple tones. When styling this room I knew that I wanted to just have the pop of color because let’s. be honest we know I am not that much of a color person. When styling the rest of the room I went to adding the cozy layers and textures to complete the look.
Layering a fall mantle in a room can be one of the most simple seasons to style for. I instantly think of wood tones; dried hydrangeas and pots. Since I brought the cozy warmth to the room with the pillows and throw, I added the terra cotta pots; to add the natural texture along with the hydrangeas. Plus who does not love a good limelight hydrangea paired with pumpkins. Creating this simple fall mantle for our master was one of my favorite areas to style and even though we know before October it will probably change. I will still have this with a simple neutral layered texture.
The master bedroom has that pop of burnt orange that flowed into the guest bedroom because; I want to create a warm cozy fall feeling for our guest that come during the season. When our guest come I want to have a fall in love with fall feeling for them to relax too. I layered up this dresser with the chippy window panes, pumpkins layered with hydrangeas; and that warm tone of florals in these vintage jugs. Those window panes were not the only layers in the guest room; when it comes to fall who doesn’t love a good collection of chunky throws? I know the first thing for me to grab when I want to sit down is a cozy chunky throw. Therefore I layered the bedding in the guest bedroom with chunky knit throws.
Now back to the most important part of the home, the entryway. When someone comes into your home, you want their first impression to be welcoming and inviting. This mustard color is becoming one of my favorites for this fall season. Especially against the wood tones that are in our entry way. Now finally the last room but not the least. When working from home you want to feel the most coziest right? That means that I had to layer the office and bring in that cozy fall touch; because who doesn’t want to work in a fall setting right?
I wanted to step out and try something that I had not in quite some time… a gallery wall! Since I am stepping out of my comfort zone this fall; why not try this again since the first one I did was a total fail. I feel that this time I nailed it, especially with the fall style incorporated into it. Share with me your thoughts on the gallery wall on my latest office room post on Instagram. Thank you always for stopping by the blog today, XOXO
