The season of color is coming so why not add a pop of color in our home using the new BEHR® Color of the Year, Breezeway! We were so excited to try it! We joined in on the fun and said, today, let’s paint the guest bathroom cabinet!
For this project, I used their new BEHR DYNASTY™ Interior Paint that just launched. One of the many things about this product line from BEHR that I like is that it is a one coat coverage paint! It no longer takes multiple coats to get rid of the old color.
The guest bathroom just had a revamp but there was still something missing. Thanks to that, we added in that missing piece of color! If you have been around for a while, you know that the cabinet was white and it did not compliment all of the changes in the bathroom.
Before
Time to dive into the DIY aspect. I took the drawers out and the doors off the cabinet. Typically I use a paint sprayer for these pieces once I remove all the hardware but, this cabinet has such deep woodgrain that it does not show the brush marks. I set those pieces to the side and grabbed my paint brush and went to work. This paint worked wonders! It covered all of the scuff marks, and where the paint was chipped, all in one swipe. Since BEHR made sure this paint was tough, they made it stain repellent and scuff resistant, which is perfect in our home!
Oh wait, how long did you think I had to wait before I could put the drawers back in to paint them, once I paint the frame? That is another great feature of the new BEHR DYNASTY™ paint….it is FAST DRYING! In no time I could put the drawers and doors back on the in frame!
Once I painted the drawers and doors, shortly after I could put the hardware back on.and put the hardware back on. I really could get use to these types of projects, one coat of paint and done! This will be my go-to paint from now on!
