Hey hey there friends! Spring time is finally here and Easter is just around the corner. The time has really flown by! Last week I did a free printable checklist for how to create a spring tablescape. I am going to share with you how I used that very same checklist to create two different spring tablescapes, one with a little Easter flare and the other with a spring vibe.
Starting out with a new season I try to think what are the typically pieces that remind me of that season? That is where I start, as you saw the check list for spring I like to keep it light and airy. The linens that I choose are light color and light weight. As for plates and glasses, I like white plates and clear glasses. Following grabbing those I grab all the spring greenery, this just makes the home feel so cozy and warm. Finally just a few spring animals, I chose to use bunnies and a lamb.
Once I have everything, I start layering the table. On this particular spring feeling one I did a light cream table runner with a hint of that spring green. Then I knew that one thing that I always see during the spring time is a tulip crate and I just so happened to have one. I took the crate and used it as the vessel for the whole tablescape.
This is my favorite part, create foundation and start layering. Since I love adding in large house plants, I typically place the plants first because they can take over the space if you are not careful. The house plant was placed in the back corner and I layered a stack of white plates right next to it a little off center. All that was missing was some glasses and linen. I wrangled up my favorite clear glasses that I picked up for a dollar at the dollar general last year and a few linen napkins. I then put the vintage inspired lamb chocolate mold to top it off.
Who says that we only can create one tablescape from this checklist? That is the not the cases we can create as many as we want! I did another simple one that is more of an Easter focus. This time I took away the chunky tulip crate for a more airy feeling. I put a fun light green and white tablecloth across the table at an angle for my linen. Off to layering next, which means a big stack of whit vintage dishes. I even added in my marmalade jar with some vintage silverware in just to add another texture. Then of course I did use my favorite glasses again. I really hope they bring these back this year friends!
Finally all there was to do it add some bunnies and spring greenery. I did a little something different with the greenery this time for a change. I did two small plants and even put one on a cake stand to add a little height. Here you go friends another quick and simple tablescape with the checklist. You can create a whole new look to a tablescape by only changing a few elements.
I am looking forward to seeing all of your Spring and Easter tablescapes you create with this checklist. Share them with me on Instagram or Pinterest. Thank you for stopping by the blog today and everyday, XOXO
