I could not help myself with the DIY pumpkins I did this year because they are so darn cute! we have all seen the terracotta Jack- O’- Lanterns from Pottery Barn. They are so cute but, to have a collection it is stretching the bank. This is when I get my creative mind flowing and try to make a pumpkin dupe. If I must say these turned out so cute and budget-friendly! Let’s make these for less than $15 a piece instead of $48-68.
Here is what you need:
Now let’s get to creating these and have fun styling them for Fall!
How to Create dupe Pumpkins:
2. Once that is coat is dry, I added more Dusty Trail paint to the bowl and some baking soda. You can choose how much you want to add. This will add a little more texture to the paint. This Terracotta paint does have texture of it’s own but, I wanted a little bit more.
3. This time I let the pumpkins dry for about 3 hours. You will need them to be completely dry to whitewash them.
4. Once the pumpkins dry completely, in another bowl add the Chalk White paint. Also dampen one end of your cloth, keep the other end dry. This is the cloth that you will white wash with.
5. Dip you wet cloth end in the white paint ( You do not need a lot of paint on your cloth) . You will take your cloth and rub over your pumpkin and use your dry end of the cloth to wipe away any excess paint.
6. You will continue this until you have the desired whitewash look to your pumpkins.
Now you have your Pottery Barn Dupe pumpkins that are ready for your fall styling.
Make sure you check out these adorable DIY pumpkins below, you will love them, friends!
