We adored the bedroom that we had in our master it actually is very special to me as it was made with vintage and family but, we simply have outgrew it. I know that sometimes you feel that you can not add larger furniture into your space. Starting off I knew that we truly needed a king-size bed instead of a queen which meant that there would be more space taken up in the room. This is where I got creative to make sure the room still felt very open. I chose to look for a tall but slender look for the bedroom furniture and remove the fireplace mantel to really open up that space beside the bed.

Once I decided on the look and the size of the bedroom furniture we headed out to our local Badcock Home Furniture &more to look at the pieces I found online in person. Once we got to the store, I was amazed at all of the choices that they had on the floor and the options they had to choose from. We started off in the mattresses. There are so many to choose from ones that are firm, extra toppers, and even ones that you can control each side.

A mattress is the soft part of a good night’s sleep but you still need the bedroom furniture part and this is where the space comes into play. Sometimes you really need to create a larger sleeping space which means you may need to pick a slender look or if you do have the space you can do the larger chunky furniture which can be beautiful too. There are so many choices from white to wood and even gray tones.

We were looking to keep the farmhouse cottage look and feel with a tall slender look and of course, that is just what we found. As I mentioned early we loved our old bed and we were able to get a very similar look in the Augusta II. I love how sleek this bed is with that vintage-inspired look. These two pieces together have created a cozy bedroom for us that has changed our way of refreshing our mind and body!
