Oh my pumpkins! Since we all know I have a pumpkins problem, what better way to share them with you all than a fall porch tour with some of my amazing friends! We have all decided to share our porches with you this fall. Fall time is one of my favorites because we can make things all cozy and welcoming with layers of fall goodness!
Since my porch is a statement here at my house, I always love styling it for the seasons. Fall is my favorite time to style these steps with many layers of pumpkins and mums. More times than not I get the question, how do you layer your steps? I always start with the mums first. This is so that I can layer the pumpkins around them and make they space feel full. I do keep the mums and the kale in their plastic containers because it makes it so much easier to layer around. Once I have those in place I start stacking and placing the pumpkins. I just layer them in space until I feel that there is no more holes on the stairs. This is my favorite part because this is the eye catcher.
After I style the stairs, I take the left over pumpkins and put them on the table in front of the swing and around the door. Since I do the stairs all full with pumpkins, I try to keep the space in front of the door very simple. I love a cozy throw layered with some fall florals and a few pumpkins. In order to finish of this space I always layer two rugs to give another element of dimension. This will be a simple look to make it easy for your guest to enter your home.
Now to create cozy spaces for you to enjoy a warm cup of coffee with family and friends. On my front porch I always try to make sure the space where the swing is layered with warm textures and fall decor. This space I chose to layer with chippy vintage pieces, a few stems of pampas grass, and some pumpkins. I styled this space on the table in front of the swing to create that relaxing feeling of fall.
The final space is my back porch, where I want it to be just as cozy. I recently created this DIY Farmhouse Sofa and it has been such a joy to style for the fall season with lots and lots of mums. Typically I do not style this space but since I can say I finally love this space, I decided let’s make it fall. I chose to use the cable spool to add a texture of wood to pair with the sofa. Then I chose to layer pumpkins in the dough bowl with a pop of cabbage. Finally I layered all the empty spaces we large mums in baskets and buckets.
Creating a cozy fall porch is one thing that brings joy to my family and friends. I hope that you enjoyed my fall porch tour and you head over to my amazing friends below to check out their fall porches! Thank you for stopping by the blog today and everyday, XOXO
