Here comes Peter Cotton Tail…..that is the first song that pops in my head when I think of a fun Easter activity. This past weekend I did a fun Easter dessert charcuterie board that brought me back to my childhood memories for after Easter Sunday service.
After church service on Easter we use to do an Easter egg hunt and have fun eating all of the yummy candy we found. This was the best treat after hunting for the eggs. I wanted to bring back that memory by; creating a fun Easter dessert charcuterie board that can be used for a fun treat at our Easter dinner.
What candy do you think of when you think of your Easter basket? My favorite is always the chocolate bunnies and of course some caramel eggs. I started by grabbing some different types of chocolate bunnies. Along getting these cute little chocolate caramel carrots. These are what I use has a foundation because the chocolate bunnies are larger and can fill space. Once I have a foundation I then begin to think how can I add some spring and Easter elements into the board. I used a two fun faux bird nests and a bunnies bowl to hold some jelly beans.
When you have your foundation built you can start filling all of the holes with all of the other goodies. I chose to use chocolate covered marshmallows shaped like eggs; rabbited shaped lollipops, pecan swirls, unicorn snack cakes, and rabbit cake pops. When creating a charcuterie board, I like to have many choices because you never know who may stopped by. The best thing to remember when creating a board is to have fun! Arrange the board to a fun look and you will have your guest swooning over how adorable it is.
Happy early Easter dear friends! I hope this helps inspire you to create a fun Easter dessert charcuterie board too.
