When traveling you want to stay some place that you feel right at home. The Morrow House in Waco, TX sure does give you the feeling and so much more! Pulling up in the driveway and seeing the welcoming front porch, I was just dying to get inside. While walking up I noticed this gorgeous chandelier from outside of the window. I just knew the the inside was going to be stunning.
Walking up onto the front porch, it felt just like I was in an HGTV show, this house was beyond beautiful! As soon as you walk through the door and into the dining room your whole heart will light up from the vintage charm this home has. The original shiplap to the original floors just gives you that down home feeling. The dining room is styled to a tee with the hammered brass pendants and the long farmhouse table, that was set beautifully. The owner even has fun piece of artwork on the wall.
Off to the side of the dining room on the right is the master bedroom and a guest bedroom. The guest bedroom has its own bathroom with two vintage inspired antique metal beds. The decor in this room is more of a traveling man and I have to say that it was quite fun. There were some vintage boots hanging over the bed with a stunning vintage gold mirror over top of a farmhouse chair, along with some antique suitcases.
Behind the guest bedroom is the master bedroom and trust me when I say this, it will have you stop in your tracks! The moment you walk into the room you find this huge chippy paint vintage bed, along with a green chippy paint door with a crystal door knob. Having this view as soon as you walk into the bedroom is stunning but, that was not the only stopping view. You can turn the corner through that chippy door and find one of the most beautiful bathrooms you have ever seen. The claw foot bathroom to the subway tile shower makes this bathroom the most relaxing I have ever seen! The best part though is the sink because the mirror for the sink is to just one, not just two, but three of one of my all time vintage finds…….. vintage mirrors!!! The way the owner layered them with the light fixtures was so beautiful and made me feel like I was living in a dream. I have to say this inspired me to figure out a way to do this in my very own bathroom.
After the bedrooms I walked into the living room where that stunning huge chandelier was and let me just say that inside it looks just like a dream. This chandelier made the entire room pop! The antique brass with all of the crystals just gave you that perfect cozy cottage welcome.
Through the original pocket doors was the kitchen of my dreams. The cabinets were so beautiful will how tall the were and how the paired with the brass metal hardware. The backspace of the white subway tile and how it paired with the wood cutting boards, just made me want to jump in the kitchen and start baking!
Off of the kitchen was the cutest little office with some special pieces inside. The owner of the home has a wall that she places all of the thank cards or even notes that her guest leave for her and it is so darling. The office desk she has is filled with adorable vintage pieces and this chippy metal chair that makes the whole office tie together. How neat is that?
The last room behind that is another gust bedroom with a beautiful chandelier and another chunky vintage bed. This room just takes you back to those movie scenes were the southern belle opens the tall bedroom shutters to the window and just sees the most beautiful view. This room has it all from the bedding to the floor. Anyone staying here knows that it has good bones even though it was added on to the house later, you would never know.
I was blown away with the southern charm of this home and how welcoming it was. I felt like was living in a fairytale while staying here. If you are every in Waco, TX this is one of the places that you must stay at! Thank you for stopping by today, head over and check out more on the blog. XOXO
